Traipsing Through The Terraces-Cuber to Alaro

Another meagre breakfast buffet for the only 2 guests in the hotel
Thank God Robyn was here-I don't think I could have finished this off alone

Fried eggs and peppers
and then by taxi to the start of today’s walk alongside canal joining 2 reservoirs.

Such Athleticism!

Remains of Aqueduct

Stop at closed Refugio for lunch of homemade sangers prepared by loyal chef. Relatively easy 17Km walk with stunning views. I miscalculate timing, for once in our favour, and arrive in the rain at Alaro 2 hours early. Strange hotel with arcane European plumbing and we are the only guests. Repair to bar for beers and G&Ts, then to dinner where we are the sole customers. It is starting to get cold and use of thermals is mandatory.
We are having the eternal problem of trying to match our caloric intake to the enormous energy output which daily ravage our now skeletal frames-we will struggle on manfully.

The other problem is that our belts are shrinking due to the harsh Mallorcan climate!
