Old Mallorca Had A Farm

We drag our weary bodies to breakfast, which was just adequate considering we are the only 2 guests in the hotel-we realised we may not go hungry when the large plate of freshly cooked scrambled with ham also appeared.
Breakfast buffet for 2!
We decided to forgo the recommended circle walk(involving the 1000 metre ascent) and instead decide to walk to Port Soller. En route we pass the usual suspects:suckling pigs, foie gras etc as well as views of terraced olive farms.

Port Soller

Better not to ask!

We arrive in Port Soller. home of the rich and famous in summer and home of the desperate and downtrodden in the winter. We find an open restaurant and partake of the famous Soller prawns and a paella washed down with a bottle of local chardy-all very good.
The legendary giant raw prawn of Soller;street art does not get any better!

Non-metallic Soller prawns

Paella-more pale than Ella
We travel by quaint tram to Soller and then taxi back to Fornalutx(named after an early model vacuum cleaner).Shock, horror ,we are so full from lunch that we forgo dinner.
