Feeling detoxified following last night 's veggie meal we felt a strong desire to toxify again. So it was off for a brisk morning's walk to the Meierei for breakfast.This is quite an upmarket establishment in the Stadtpark; we felt quite at home among the elegantly dressed and coiffeured nobility of Vienna. As for food, does breakfast get any better than steak tartare and Beuschel, a Viennese speciality made from chopped up lungs and heart( eaten only by the more discerning members of our party).
Then by tram to Dobling to visit the former family home, with the usual photo opportunities.
Back to Vienna central by tram and through a Christmas Market where we scored gluies all round.
Then it is pastry o'clock at Demels.
Then took the horsedrawn carriage(fiaker) ride through central Vienna.
Dinner was at Figelmuller, famous for its enormous schnitzels and then home.
