If music be the food of love, give me a plate of Chopin's Bolognaise

Our itinerary today was a mere 9Km from Banyalbufar to Esporles along the 13th century trade route. Initially a steepish ascent through terraced fields then an easy downhill stretch. Inspection of stately home which included rooms of torture instruments-what a wacky bunch of funsters those inquisitors were. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed-oh  the horror! We get picked up by taxi from Esporles and get taken to Es Petit Hotel in Valdemossa,a quaint vilage famous for putting up with Chopin for a winter. Naturally, the Chopin museum was closed and we were unable to see the fine collection of Chopin's tubercular phlegm housed within.. We wandered the mean streets of Valdemossa and tried some of the local specialty pastries-pro tip: covering a piece of doughy stale stodge with icing sugar does not transform it into a gourmet's delight!
Fabulous dinner at local restaurant with my first taste of sweetbreads.
