Great breakfast in Valdemossa with views
Then with our respective loins thoroughly girded we set off for what was a harrowing day. Initial uphill slog of 500metres and then onto vertiginous path with winds threatening to blow us off at every step.
We end up on rocky plateau where we lose the trail-meet up with 4 local lads who seem more clueless than us(Is not possible I hear you say). Multiple phone calls to local tour entity and much angst and we then find the hidden path down which zag-zigs for 700metres on mostly rocky ground, past gernarld olive trees growing on old terraces and then arrive at 5pm in the gloom of Deia(tour notes suggest this would be a pleasant place for lunch!)
We phone local entity who arranges hotel in Fornalutx to pick us up. Drive along winding coastal road is another near death experience, however we arrive safely at hotel where we are the only guests and then have a hearty Mallorcan meal at local restaurant.
